Belinda Selfors, Superintendent of Schools
Welcome to Stewartville Public Schools! As the Superintendent of Schools, I am thrilled to have been given the opportunity to work with the students, parents, staff, and community members of the Stewartville School District. Previously working in Stewartville, I was a math teacher and assistant principal from 1983 through 1998 at Agassiz Middle School in Fargo, North Dakota. From 1998 through 2014, I had the privilege to work as the Junior High School and Secondary School principal at Sauk Centre. In July of 2014, I continued my professional journey in education and moved into the superintendency at Hayfield Community Schools. As of July 1, 2017, I am thrilled to be afforded the opportunity to work with the students, staff, parents, and community members of Stewartville! My family includes my husband, Kevin, who is a sales representative for wholesale HVAC equipment and supplies. He travels throughout the state of Minnesota as well as the eastern parts of North and South Dakota. Our son, Ben and his wife DeAnna, are living and working in Fargo, North Dakota. In our free time, my husband and I enjoy going to see the bands from the 70s and 80s perform in concert. In addition, I enjoy stamping and scrapbooking, while my husband is an avid outdoorsman. At Stewartville Public Schools, our credo is “Educational Excellence for Everyone.” Our staff is committed to developing the full potential of all learners in an engaging environment where lifelong learning is valued, educational excellence is expected and improvement is continuous. Our staff at Stewartville Public Schools are eager and ready to provide our students with the high-quality education that they so richly deserve. We consider ourselves blessed to have been given the opportunity to work with the children of our communities. All of us at Stewartville Public Schools look forward to working with each of you to further the educational goals for all of our children.
