NON-UNION PTO/COMP.TIME TRANSFER POLICY

1. Employees may transfer PTO/Comp. to another employee when an employee has exhausted all of their PTO/Comp. and sick leave due to an illness or injury to the employee or an immediate family member. (Limited to contract provisions).

2. Employees will be required to provide a Doctor’s Statement/Medical Proof for medical absences from work before becoming eligible for PTO/Comp. transfers. Transfers will only be allowed during the time frame authorized by the statement.

3. All transfers have to be in increments of one (1) hour.

4. Transfers are at the salary rate of the giver, but used at the salary rate of the receiver.

5. Transfers will be available to the designated employee for use for a period of ninety (90) days and will be retained in the District Office from the date given.

6. Hours will be transferred to the designated employee on an as needed basis.

7. Hours will be subtracted from a donating employee’s bank on a first come first serve basis. Where there is more than one employee donating time a maximum deduction of eight (8) hours will be taken from the donating employee’s bank, subsequently allowing other employees to donate time before subtracting more than eight (8) hours from any one employee. If the need arises additional deductions will be made until all donated hours are exhausted.
