Today marked our first ROAR drawing of the year!
ROAR is our Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports system here at BCI. ROAR stands for Respect Others, Act Responsibly. Students are taught the expectations in all areas of our school. When staff see students following these expectations, they can give them a ROAR card. This then goes into a drawing for weekly prizes! At the end of the month they all come together for a drawing about ROAR assembly and can be used to purchase things from the ROAR store!

As the new superintendent, I am so excited to be a part of the Stewartville Community. I look forward to learning about the history, the people and overall community. To help me learn more about perspectives from everyone in the community, we have set up a “thought exchange,” asking for feedback. It's an interactive survey that allows users to rate the thoughts of others as well as provide their own. There is really only one question, “what do you think it’s important things about the Stewartville schools that our new superintendent should know to best serve our school community?” So far, 271 people have provided input, but I would love for the whole community to share their thoughts. Like and share this post to ensure that as many people as possible have the opportunity to participate!
